N.B This site is user friendly and is for all age groups. Almost everyone aims to drive a motor vehicle at some point throughout their lives. It also serves to also educate students to learn beforehand about road rules and safe motoring.
Driver education is the key to prevent and decrease motor vehicles crashes. Jamaica needs a medium which is readily available (that can be easily updated) to provide new and existing motorists with information that will promote the safe operation of motor vehicles.
The making of an official drivers guide
To research, develop and implement a website /handbook for users of the Jamaican roads (for refresher courses).
Act as a guideline for the use and promotion of road safety. The research will inform and educate new and existing motorist of the road rules and safe motoring.
To give motorists an opportunity to traverse safely, efficiently and sustainably across Jamaica’s road network and to enjoy and improve our quality of life.
Road Safety In Schools
Everyone has a role to play in keeping our community safe. Some students are not driving yet but hope to be in the near future. They have easy access to technology and spend a lot of time online. The actions of students have a huge influence on making our roads and communities safer, so it is important to help them recognize the road responsibilities that they will encounter soon. Drive Safe Jamaica will equip students with the knowledge that will make them safer pedestrians, passengers, cyclists and drivers now and in the future.

Driving is a task that demands the driver’s complete attention every time you get behind the wheel. Driver distraction is a common cause of collision. Motor vehicle crashes are preventable, yet they are the leading causes of injury and death on our roadways. Road fatalities , injuries and crashes have an enormous impact on individuals, families, health care and the economy.
Distraction is anything that takes your focus away from the safe operation of a motor vehicle.
